Luna Bean is the most amazing little 3 year old. She suffered head trauma as a puppy which resulted in her being partially blind, partially deaf, and a gamut of other medical issues but LB has no idea she’s a tad different. She eats only when elevated and has “upright time” after each meal. She’s had numerous surgeries and often battles aspiration pneumonia but she is always happy and grateful. She just loves life! She is hilarious and sweet and all around perfect in our eyes. Adopting her was a gift!

1.  Sponsor:

The campaign is created and promoted by Charleston Dog Walker Inc, 1504 Swamp Fox Ln, Charleston, South Carolina, 29412, United States.

2.  Eligibility:

This Campaign is open only to those who sign up at the Crowndogofcharleston.Com and who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. The Campaign is only open to legal residents of South Carolina in Charleston County, and is void where prohibited by law. Employees of Charleston Dog Walker Inc or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the campaign or helping to set up the campaign shall not be permitted to enter the campaign. This includes previous Winners and Runners Up of the Crown Dog of Charleston (and their current or future pets). The Campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

3.  Campaign Entry Period:

Entries will be accepted online starting on January 27, 2020, 12:00am, EST and ending February 16, 2020, 11:59pm, EST. All online entries must be received by February 16, 2020, 11:59pm, EST.

4.  How to Enter:

The Campaign must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided at Crowndogofcharleston.Com. The entry must fulfill all Campaign requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete, inappropriate, or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Charleston Dog Walker Inc. You may enter only once. You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Charleston Dog Walker Inc.

5.  Campaign Dates:

  • Open For Entries: January 27, 2020 – February 16, 2020 at 11:59pm EST
    • Entrants must submit a current photo of their dog that was taken in the last 12 months
  • Public Voting Round 1: February 17, 2020 – March 1, 2020 at 11:59pm EST
    • You may vote once every 24 hours
  • Judging Process: March 2, 2020 – March 5, 2020
    • The 10 dogs with the most votes will go through to the Judging Process round and our team of Independent Judges will then select five finalists.
    • How will entrants dogs be judged if they get through to the Judging Process Round?
      • Each dog will be judged on the following and the five dogs with the most points will go through to the final public voting round. Final scores will not be made public and in the event that the winner does not want to participate in the final stages then the runner up will be put through to the final.
        • Number of Public Votes (33% of score)
        • Quality, cuteness and uniqueness of photo (33% of score)
        • Written entry (33% of score)
  • Public Voting Round 2:  March 6, 2020 – March 15, 2020 at 11:59pm EST
    • A public vote will decide which of the 5 Finalists is the Crown Dog of Charleston 2020
    • You may vote once every 24 hours
  • Winners Announced: March 16, 2020
    • The Crown Dog of Charleston 2020 (first place), and the second and third place winners will be announced on March 16, 2020

6.  Votes:

You may vote once every 24 hours during public voting rounds. No responsibility can be accepted for entries, or votes, not received for whatever reason. The campaign is run using a 3rd party service that counts and verifies votes. Vote counts are not displayed at any stage of the campaign. We also do not release a list of vote counts at any stage during or after the campaign.

7.  Campaign Rules: 

The following rules apply to all entrants at whatever stage of the campaign. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the campaign.

  • Entrants must enter a current photo of their dog from within the last 12 months.
  • Entrants cannot use paid advertising to promote their entry.
  • Entrants are not permitted to buy votes in any form.
  • Entrants suspected of cheating in any form will be removed from the campaign.
  • The Crown Dog of Charleston logo and the Charleston Dog Walker Inc logo can only be used with the written permission of Charleston Dog Walker Inc.
  • No other companies may claim to sponsor or endorse the Crown Dog of Charleston, unless they are an official sponsor. This includes, but not limited to, adding their name to posters, flyers, tshirts, awards
    Code Of Conduct.
  • Any entrant who submits an inappropriate photograph or entry form, or who is found to be harassing other entrants, organizers, or sponsors in any manner will be removed from the campaign (and future campaigns) with immediate effect. Organizers decision will be final.

8.  Prizes:

The Winner(s) of the Campaign (the “Winner”) will receive:

Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by Charleston Dog Walker Inc. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Charleston Dog Walker Inc’s discretion. The prize is nontransferable. Charleston Dog Walker Inc is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this campaign. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Charleston Dog Walker Inc to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

9.  Odds:

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

10.  Finalist Selection and Notification:

Finalists will be chosen by an independent adjudicator or panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The judge’s decision is final. Finalists will be notified by email within two (2) days following the selection of the Finalists. Charleston Dog Walker Inc shall have no liability for Finalist’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Finalist’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.

11.  Winner Selection and Notification:

Winner will be selected by community vote under the supervision of Charleston Dog Walker Inc. Winners will be notified by email within five (5) days following selection of the Winners. Charleston Dog Walker Inc shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 14 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by Winner of the prizes offered in this Campaign is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT CHARLESTON DOG WALKER INC‘S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CAMPAIGN, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

12.  Rights Granted by You:

By entering this content (e.g., photo, text, etc.), You understand and agree that Charleston Dog Walker Inc, anyone acting on behalf of Charleston Dog Walker Inc, and Charleston Dog Walker Inc’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Campaign, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. By entering this content, You represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, You will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Charleston Dog Walker Inc. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Charleston Dog Walker Inc from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which Charleston Dog Walker Inc may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.

13.  Terms & Conditions:

Charleston Dog Walker Inc reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Campaign should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Charleston Dog Walker Inc’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Campaign. In such case, Charleston Dog Walker Inc may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Charleston Dog Walker Inc. Charleston Dog Walker Inc reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Campaign or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Charleston Dog Walker Inc has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Campaign, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Campaign rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Campaign may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, Charleston Dog Walker Inc reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. Charleston Dog Walker Inc’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the campaign will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

14.  Limitation of Liability:

By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Charleston Dog Walker Inc and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Campaign and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.

15.  Disputes:

THIS Campaign IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND SOUTH CAROLINA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Campaign, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Campaign, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Charleston, South Carolina having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Campaign). Participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

16.  Winners List:

To obtain a copy of the Winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, mail your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Charleston Dog Walker Inc, 1504 Swamp Fox Ln, Charleston, SC 29412, United States. Requests must be received no later than April 1, 2020, 11:59pm EST.

This campaign hosted by Charleston Dog Walker Inc is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.

18.  Agreement to Rules:

By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Charleston Dog Walker Inc as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Campaign.
