As a pet care team member, you will be expected to travel to the homes of our clients to provide care for dogs and cats, and occasionally some other household animals. The pets you’ll be caring for will need to have potty breaks, walks, food, fresh water, medications, clean living areas, and lots of love and attention. We spend our days outside walking energetic dogs (both big and small) for 15 to 60 minutes, so you need to be ok getting a little sweaty, dirty and hairy, and not be opposed to picking up poop, scooping litter boxes, and cleaning up any pet messes. This may not be a clean job, but you’ll be rewarded with lots of dog kisses and cat snuggles!

After every visit, we send a visit journal and photos to the pet parents so they can see how much fun their pet had with us.

We take professional dog walking and pet care seriously and always work to be the best professional pet care team in Charleston. It’s a serious job, but is also the perfect way to get paid to exercise and play with dogs and cats! Many of our staff say it’s the best job they’ve ever had!

You need to be able to assist with pet visits in client homes in the areas of James Island, downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Avondale, and Folly Beach.

We do require that our employees live in one of our service areas (James Island, downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Avondale, or Folly Beach). This position requires a lot of driving and we’ve found if you live outside of our service area you probably won’t make enough money for it to be financially beneficial.

Team members can make up to $15 an hour exercising dogs and caring for pets!

Pay is per visit (plus tips!) and eligible employees are reimbursed for mileage between their pet visits. All new employees start out slowly with a very minimal schedule (typically less than 5 visits a week). As you feel comfortable with more visits, we slowly will build up your schedule.

Our hours of operation are from 7 am – 9 pm every day. Our team members all work different regular shifts and you are able to set your availability upon hire. We structure our positions below based on the different shifts, but you are always able to work more if you have additional availability. The more availability you have, the more visits you can do!

Our team members also need to be flexible with working a different schedule each day, as the visit needs of our clients frequently change. All new employees start out slowly with a very minimal schedule (typically less than 5 visits a week). As you feel comfortable with more visits, we slowly will build up your schedule.
