Dog Walker Job

Part-Time Midday Dog Walker

We’re currently hiring for a Part-Time Midday Dog Walker position. The ideal candidate will be available at least 4 weekdays a week between the hours of 11 am – 3 pm.

As a dog walker, you would be expected to take dogs outside for potty-breaks, walks, and play time. You would be walking 1 or 2 dogs together for 15 to 60 minutes at a quick pace. You’ll need to pick up poop and clean up any pet messes, so you’ve got to be willing to get a little dirty. This may not be a clean job, but you’ll be rewarded with lots of dog kisses!

You need to be able to assist with pet visits in client homes in the areas of James Island, downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Avondale, and Folly Beach.

We do require that our employees live in one of our service areas (James Island, downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Avondale, or Folly Beach). This position requires a lot of driving and we’ve found if you live outside of our service area you probably won’t make enough money for it to be financially beneficial, as you are not reimbursed for gas or travel time.

We pay per visit and most of our dog walkers earn about $100 – $200 a week.

Our staff members need to be flexible with working a different schedule each day, as our client’s needs frequently change. All new employees start out slowly with a very minimal schedule (typically less than 5 visits a week). As you feel comfortable with more visits, we slowly will build up your schedule.

For our Midday Dog Walker position, most of your visits will fall between 11 am – 3 pm. The more availability you have, the more visits you could be assigned.
