Pet Team Member – Weekday Evenings & Weekends (Part-Time)
We’re currently hiring for a part-time Pet Team Member (Weekday Evenings & Weekends) position. The ideal candidate will be available to work at least 3 evenings a week between 6 pm – 9 pm, and 3 weekends a month.
As a Pet Team Member, you will be expected to care for dogs and cats to ensure they have potty breaks, walks, food, fresh water, medications, clean living areas, lots of love and attention. You will be taking 1 or 2 dogs outside for 15 to 60 minute walks at a quick pace.
You’ll need to pick up poop, scoop litter boxes, and clean up any pet messes, so you’ve got to be willing to get a little dirty. This may not be a clean job, but you’ll be rewarded with lots of dog kisses and cat snuggles!
You need to be able to assist with pet visits in client homes in the areas of James Island, downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Avondale, and Folly Beach.
We do require that our employees live in one of our service areas (James Island, downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Avondale, or Folly Beach). This position requires a lot of driving and we’ve found if you live outside of our service area you probably won’t make enough money for it to be financially beneficial, as you are not reimbursed for gas or travel time.
As a Pet Team Member (Weekday Evenings & Weekends), you can make up to $500 a month visiting dogs and kitties!
Pay is per visit and we do not offer any benefits or reimbursement for gas/travel. All new employees start out slowly with a very minimal schedule (typically less than 5 visits a week). As you feel comfortable with more visits, we slowly will build up your schedule.
Our staff members need to be flexible with working a different schedule each day, as our client’s needs frequently change. For the Pet Team Member (Weekday Evenings & Weekends) position, your visits would typically be between 6 pm – 9 pm on weekdays. On weekends, they would be spaced out throughout the day between 7 am – 9 pm, with breaks in between. The more availability you have, the more visits you could be assigned.
