About Me
Hello, I’m Heather! Originally from Joliet, Illinois, I traded the Midwest for the South and have been happily calling Charleston home since 2022. I’m an MSD Special Education teacher who loves helping students learn and grow. For the past 4 years, I spent my evenings and weekends as a dog walker and pet sitter for Charleston Dog Walker, and in 2026 transitioned to the weekend Pet Care Operations Manager!
When I’m not in the classroom or providing support to our furry friends, you’ll usually find me checking out local coffee shops, soaking up the sun at the beach, or exploring everything the Lowcountry has to offer. My favorite adventures are the ones I share with my husband, Terrance, and our three fur babies—Ernie, Lexie, and Alfie!
