Our Story
It all started in 2011 when Josh, my soon-to-be-husband, proposed and we were happily planning our destination wedding. I realized pretty quickly that all of our close family and friends were going to be with us at the wedding, which meant we wouldn’t have anyone to watch our puppy, Indy. I couldn’t even consider boarding him – he would be nervous being around a lot of other dogs and he’d feel so scared being trapped in a kennel alone all night long.
Wedding planning shifted to figuring out a solution for who could watch Indy, and a realization formed. I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to board my dog. It’s not a good fit for a lot of pets who can’t handle the stress of that environment. And I needed someone trustworthy – not just some random girl online who “loves dogs”. Indy is my baby and I needed to be sure he was in good hands.
I couldn’t find a solution, so I created it. Fast forward a few years and today you have Charleston Dog Walker! A company made up of amazing, trustworthy, and thoughtful people dedicated to caring for your pet. We’re here for you and I know you’ll be so happy you found us!
