It may be hot out during the day, but that doesn’t mean you and your furry bud can’t enjoy the beach together. After all, the beach is the perfect place to get out tons of their energy and some of your own stress. You can take a stroll down the beach in the evening and collect some shells, or toss a ball in the water for your dog to go fetch. Always remember to bring lots of fresh water and a portable bowl for your pup and keep a close eye out that they aren’t drinking too much ocean water!
Also, always make sure you know the beach rules:
- Folly Beach – Leashed dogs are allowed before 10am and after 6pm
- Isle of Palms – Dogs must be leashed between 5am and 8am
- Sullivan’s Island – Dogs are allowed off-leash from 5am to 10am in the off-leash areas (with a pet permit)
